Tunisia's flag, tied to the 2010-2011 Arab Spring, which began there and spread across the region. Its red-and-white crescent-and-star design, adopted in the 1830s under Ottoman rule, is one of the oldest continuously used national flag designs in the Arab world, predating most of its regional neighbors' current flags by a century or more.
