Bagel represents both the literal breakfast food and, more specifically, New York/Jewish deli culture where bagels carry particular culinary weight (bagels and lox being an iconic pairing). It joined Unicode in 2017 and is drawn as a classic ring shape, often shown sliced to reveal the cream-cheese-ready interior.
