The play button triangle, arguably the single most recognized UI symbol in the world — used literally to mean "watch this" or "listen," and figuratively to mean "let's go," "start now," or kicking off a story/thread. Its triangular shape dates back to 1960s–70s tape recorder controls and has remained essentially unchanged across every media format since.
