Ear of corn is used for the vegetable itself, harvest/autumn imagery, or barbecue and street-food posts, and in some Western slang 'corny' plays off the same word to mean cheesy or overly sentimental — though the emoji itself rarely carries that joke visually. It was in the original 2010 Unicode set and is drawn as husked corn on the cob nearly everywhere.
