Sushi is arguably the most internationally recognized Japanese food emoji, used both for literal sushi meals and as broad shorthand for Japanese cuisine or 'treating yourself' to a nicer meal out; part of the original 2010 Unicode set, its nigiri-style design (fish over rice) is remarkably consistent across every platform.
