The sacred syllable Om (ॐ), central to Hinduism, Buddhism, and Jainism, representing the primordial sound of the universe. Online it's used both devotionally (yoga, meditation, spiritual posts) and as a lighthearted stand-in for "zen" or "namaste" energy; it was added in Unicode 7.0 (2014) as part of a push to broaden religious symbol representation beyond the historically Abrahamic-heavy emoji set.
